Leave the Game

No-limit Texas Holdem poker is an interesting game, even better when it’s played for real money poker online . As the limits to which you can bet and win or lose are open, there is no stopping you from continuing the game. You might have a big win and then you might lose loads of money. You will have the desire to win some more and hence will continue to play.

There is no correct time for you to quit playing and you should use your own wits to decide when you would like to quit the game for the day.

Lady Luck by Your Side

You have suddenly decided to stop playing the no-limit Texas Holdem poker game as you have been losing for some time. Now just because you have been losing for some time it does not mean that luck might not favor you. Actually you are discouraged and are stopping to play for the day but then you are depriving yourself the chance of winning. The advise is “do not quit” if discouraged.

Winning a Small Amount

You win a small amount of money and stop playing. This is what an amateur player would do. Experienced players would continue to win for some time after which they will stop playing.

The advice is that if you have started to win that means you have started to become lucky and so “do not quit” the game of no-limit Texas Holdem poker at this point.

Flush

You might have been lucky and got a flush say for four consecutive times. Flush is five cards from the same suit.

Now after playing for four rounds in each of which you got a flush you decide to quit but this might not be advisable. “Do not quit” at this stage as you might get a winning flush for the fifth time. Relax and continue to play.

Cut-off Point

Before starting to play the game of no-limit Texas Holdem poker you should set a cut-off limit for yourself. This is the value if and when you loose you will “quit” the poker game.

This cut-off limit, decided by you should be greater than the standard expected swing in the game. If your cut-off limit is very small then you will not be able to win much and progress much in the game of poker.

Focus

When you are tired, hungry, distracted, and hence losing focus of the game it is time for you to “quit” the game for the day. Lack of concentration on the game especially in no-limit Texas Holdem poker will result in disaster.

You should always be alert and know the probability of winning the game with the cards is in your hand. You should be social and try to find out the cards in the hands of the other players. Your aim is to win and not to lose focus and lose more money.

Sharks and Fish

“Quit” if you find that there are more sharks than fish. Always play with friendly fish where you have chances to win rather than with sharks that are out there to take away your stake and win the pot.
