How to be a Pro at Texas Holdem Poker

The key to impressing people and being a pro at the game of Holdem Poker is to know the language of the game. The worst thing to experience will be to play with people and think they are speaking an alien language when they are talking about the game. If one does not understand the language of the fellow players the chances are bright that you will lose your money and that also in no time. We will help you to ensure that a similar situation never arises with you.

Some Common Phrases

Let’s start with the most commonly used phrases like ‘All in’, which means that you have put all the chips you had to play in the pot. In such a scenario there are only two outcomes that either you will win or end up losing all your money.

Bad Beat: This is a scenario where you have lost the game where at a point of time you had better chances to win the game than the player who actually won the round at the end. This is sheer bad luck.

Another term used in the game is ‘Blind”. This is a game where all the players have to make a bet before the cards are dealt and this has to be compulsorily done.  ‘Boat’ is a term which means a full house and ‘Bottom Pair’ means to make a pair with the lowest card which shows on the flop an early position. When such a scenario arises it becomes necessary for the player to act before the fellow players put him at a disadvantage. Another commonly used term is ‘Flop’ which means the three community cards are dealt face up at the same time.

With all these terms you will surely sound like a Pro. One should never look or sound ignorant to the fellow members especially when you know how to play the game well. So flaunt these words and impress everyone.
